    National Trust ground surrounds the area with Morte Point being a very popular area to enjoy stunning walks around the coastline to Mortehoe which features several tea rooms and pubs, a thirteenth century church and Mortehoe Heritage Centre which recounts the area's rich maritime history. Mortehoe is also the starting point for many scenic walks along this dramatic stretch of coastline. Just north of the village and reached only on foot, is Rockham Beach lying at the base of the 100 ft cliff, an ideal location for a peaceful day on the beach.

    The coastal village of Woolacombe is a short distance from the property and is popular with both families and surfers alike due to its three-mile long golden sandy beach. Woolacombe offers a picturesque golf course and interesting choice of shops, bars and restaurants. The famous surfing beaches of Putsborough, Croyde and Saunton are all within easy reach.

    Directions to Find

    From the traffic lights at Braunton follow the A361 towards Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. Continue on this road until you reach Mullacott roundabout. Take the first exit heading towards Woolacombe and Mortehoe on the B3343. Continue on this road for approximately 2.5 miles then take the turning right signposted Mortehoe. Continue along this road and you will come to the village of Mortehoe. Drive through the main village and continue down the hill. Lundy House Hotel will be seen on the right hand side and Sharp Rock is a little further along on the left hand side of the road. Follow the road up the hill and at the top of the T junction, Pipers Pool will be found immediately in front of you.
