    Woolacombe’s three-mile long beach has been voted the number one beach in the U.K. One visit here and you can easily see why. Not just because of its beautiful coastline and being a surfer’s paradise but also its easy access to the wonderful National Trust land with coastal walks. The other surfing beaches of Putsborough (at the other end of Woolacombe’s surfing beach), Croyde and Saunton all within easy reach.

    There is an interesting choice of shops, bars and restaurants in the village. Woolacombe is ideally positioned for investigating the surrounding coast and countryside – from the wild splendour of Exmoor to the natural wonders of Lundy Island, or the charm of the nearby villages of Mortehoe and Croyde.

    Golfers have a choice of two picturesque courses in Woolacombe itself or can take on the challenging championship links course at Saunton which is just twenty minutes away by car. There is also an 18-hole golf course at nearby Willingcott.

    The regional centre of Barnstaple offers top high street names and independent stores/boutiques. There is also a leisure centre and indoor tennis centre, a branch line railway station and regional hospital. The A361 gives access to the M5 at Tiverton.

    Directions to Find
    At Braunton Road Junction, traffic signals continue forward onto the A361 Signposted Ilfracombe, Braunton
    At Chivenor Cross Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A361
    At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A361
    At crossroads continue straight ahead signposted Ilfracombe & Woolacombe.
    At Mullacott Cross Roundabout turn left signposted Woolacombe
    Follow this road into Woolacombe, once you have passed the centre of the village turn right onto the Esplanade.
    Continue along The Esplanade towards Mortehoe
    The turning into Upper Claypark road is on the right after travelling uphill towards Mortehoe, identified by a Lyndon Living sign for Gull Rock. It is advisable to continue forward and turn around in the next driveway on the right (Sharp Rock) to access the road at a better angle.
    The parking area is approx 200 yards down the lane on the right, access to the Apartment is down the steps to the right of the building, the front door is located at the very bottom of the steps.
